Springhill Cohousing has been designed to foster a sense of community whilst retaining individuals' needs for privacy. All 34 homes have their own kitchens and private living spaces and an equal share in the 3 storey Common House; there is also one workplace studio. For more information about the community see the home page or look at the photos.

All queries about individual properties to the owners please. Contact details are shown in the appropriate place.
If you would like to put your name on the Interested list for future properties, or wish to enquire about the process then please contact us by email. The address is

Before you buy or rent

Please bear in mind that if you are seriously considering moving to Springhill you should be fully aware of the way the community works, your rights and responsibilities, the common house, cooking and eating, lawn mowing and all the other enjoyable and important aspects of cohousing. If you have, or intend to have, any cats or dogs it is essential you ask about the pets policy before making any decisions. Ask your prospective vendor or landlord to tell you exactly what your responsibilities will be and ask them to arrange for you to come and eat with us at one of the common house meals. The best way to find out about Springhill is to come on one of our visitor days. Caroline Harmer [email: visit @ gl51tn.co.uk -omit the spaces] currently arranges visits.

To make sure you are kept informed when properties are for sale, you will need to put your name on the Interested list for future properties, see above.

Houses and flats for sale appear below. Once you have had your offer accepted by the seller then you should read this letter to buyers and most important make sure that your solicitor sees it and reads it thoroughly. Our experience is that this prevents many problems and hitches.

Lodgers

From time to time, Springhill residents have rooms to let, short or long-term, in individual houses. Typical monthly rent is currently (January 2019) between 350 and 550 pounds including bills and use of cohousing facilities. If you would like to hear about any vacancies, then you might like to put your name on the Interested lodgers list. The address is:

Any tenants will need to sign a tenancy agreement including the principles of cohousing and will need to come for an informal evening meal in the common house on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday before signing that agreement.
